Creations Gallery in Redwater - About Denise

I currently reside in Sturgeon County, Alberta, and am a self taught artist. I first picked up a paintbrush about 25 years ago. Being a single parent at the time with 3 children did not allow for me to attend a formal art program, so I purchased whatever books i could find on techniques to teach myself the basics. With an eye for colour and light I started to develop several styles of painting, such as still life, abstract, landscapes, surreal as well as realism.

I never pre sketch or plan a painting, I just simply paint by passion. I love mixing colour to see what will develop. I have sold my paintings in Canada and the US.

After years of dreaming of one day opening a gallery I am pleased to say that March of 2012 I will be opening "Creations Gallery" in Redwater, Alberta. In addition to paintings, I will also have one of a kind gifts designed by myself as well as home decor.
